Anaid Art Gallery în colaborare cu Bazis prezintă „ABSORPTION”, artişti:
Zsolt Berszán, István Betuker, Mircea But, Kyle Fitzpatrick, Adrian Ghiman, Pavel Grosu, Bandi Saşa, Rashid Uri, Szabolcs Veres

Vineri, 8 noiembrie 2013, ora 19:00 va avea loc la Anaid Art Gallery vernisajul expoziţiei de grup „Absorption”, artişti participanţi Zsolt Berszán, István Betuker, Mircea But, Kyle Fitzpatrick, Adrian Ghiman, Pavel Grosu, Bandi Saşa, Rashid Uri, Szabolcs Veres, curator Diana Dochia. Publicul amator de artă contemporană va putea viziona expoziţia în perioada 08 noiembrie 2013 – 31 ianuarie 2014.
    „Absorption” oferă o sondare a societăţii contemporane prin întrepătrunderea a nouă moduri artistice de interpretare. Cei nouă artişti aleşi pentru a contura proiectul expoziţional „Absorption” propun nouă moduri de relaţionare şi integrare a reprezentării artistice abordând problemele artei contemporane atât la nivelul conţinutului cât şi al formei. „Absorption” a luat naştere în urma colaborării între artiştii care formează nucleul spaţiului de artă contemporană Bazis din Cluj Napoca – Zsolt Berszán, István Betuker şi Szabolcs Veres şi artiştii invitaţi Mircea But, Bandi Saşa, Pavel Grosu, Adrian Ghiman, absolvenţi ai Universităţii de Artă şi Design din Cluj Napoca, şi doi artişti din afara graniţelor ţării care au beneficiat în cursul anului 2013 de un program de rezidenţe la Bazis – Kyle Fitzpatrick (SUA) şi Rashid Uri (Italia).
    „Absorption” propune două moduri de interpretare a lucrărilor celor nouă artişti: o radicalizare a discursului pictural prin folosirea unui gestualism plin de forţă şi culoare în cadrul căruia se pun în discuţie probleme legate de formă şi compoziţie şi o reprezentare trunchiată, deformată a unei societăţi dezumanizate şi fragmentate. Cei nouă artişti tratează ideea de distrugere, moarte, descompunere ca fiind punctul 0 (zero) al creaţiei. Bandi Saşa este preocupat de răul malign al societăţii contemporane. La polul opus, Kyle Fitzpatrick propune o confruntare cu materia în urma pierderii misterului. Lucrările lui Adrian Ghiman pun în discuţie ideile de auto-distrugere, descompunere, maladie ce conduc la o reprezentare fragmentată a lumii. La Pavel Grosu distrugerea declanşează actul creator, ideea morţii devenind un pretext pentru a sonda noi modalităţi de expresie artistică. Szabolcs Veres fragmentează figura umană, pe care apoi o recompune în cadrul unei ordini nefireşti ce dă naştere unui nou tip de senzualitate grotesc diformă. Betuker propune o serie de portrete complet depersonalizate ce apar în urma exerciţiilor de compoziţie şi culoare. La Zsolt Berszán totul devine materialitate fluidă, absorbantă, organică. Astfel, iau naştere mese diforme şi structuri stranii ce descriu un non-finit al începutului şi sfârşitului. Mircea But este interesat de investigarea posibilităţilor picturale de reprezentare apărute în urma unor ruperi gestuale de ritm dintre natural şi artificial. Rashid Uri surprinde mediul aflat în continuă mişcare printr-o fină atenţie acordată dinamismului gestului pictural.
    La o primă citire „Absorption” este o expoziţie despre modul de reprezentare al materiei, dar în urma unei citiri multiple expoziţia sondează abisul fiinţei umane.
    Expoziţia „Absorption” a fost concepută în colaborare cu spaţiul de artă contemporană Bazis din Cluj-Napoca.
Anaid Art Gallery vă invită să faceţi o incursiune în arta contemporană de luni până vineri între orele 11:00 – 19:00, sâmbătă între orele 10:00 – 18:00.

Friday, 8th of November 2013, at 07:00 p.m. will take place at Anaid Art Gallery the opening of the group exhibition “Absorption”; the participant artists are Zsolt Berszán, István Betuker, Mircea But, Kyle Fitzpatrick, Adrian Ghiman, Pavel Grosu, Bandi Saşa, Rashid Uri, Szabolcs Veres, curator Diana Dochia. The persons who are found of contemporary art will be able to visit de exhibition during 8th of November – 31st of January 2014.
"Absorption" offers a way of probing the interplay of contemporary society through new modes of artistic interpretation. The nine artists chosen to shape the exhibition project "Absorption" propose new ways of relating and integrating the artistic representation of contemporary art addressing problems both in the content and the form.."Absorption" is the result of the collaboration between the artists that form the core of the contemporary art space Bazis in Cluj Napoca – Zsolt Berszán, István Betuker and Szabolcs Veres, and the invited artists Mircea But, Bandi Saşa, Pavel Grosu, Adrian Ghiman, graduates of the University of Art and Design in Cluj Napoca, and two artists from aboard that, during the year of 2013, benefited from a residency program at Bazis, namely the artists Kyle Fitzpatrick (USA) and Rashid Uri (Italy).
“Absorption” proposes two ways of interpreting the works of the nine artists: a radicalization of the pictorial discourse by using action painting full of force and colour where are brought into discussion issues related to form and composition and a representation that is truncated, distorted of a dehumanized and fragmentary society. The nine artists approach the idea of destruction, death, decay, as being the point 0 (zero) of creation. Bandi Saşa is preocupaied by the malignant evil of contemporary society. At the antipole, Kyle Fitzpatrick proposes a confrontation with matter after the loss of mystery. The works of Adrian Ghiman bring into discussion the ideas of self-destruction, decay, sickness that lead to a split representation of the world. At Pavel Grosu the act of destruction triggers the creative act; the idea of death becomes a pretext to question new ways of artistic expression. Szabolcs Veres fragmentizes the human figure, and after that he recomposes it within an unusal order that triggers a new type of grotesque deformed sensuality. Betuker proposes a series of portraits that are completely depersonalized as a result of composition and colour exercises. At Zsolt Berszán everything becomes fluid materiality, absorptive, organic. In this way, distorted surfaces and strange structures appear and describe a non-finite of the beginning and end. Mircea But is interested in investigating the pictorial possibilities of representation that appear as a result of some fractures of gestural rhythm between natural and artificial. Rashid Uri captures the evironment in continuous motion by paying sharp attention to the dynamics of the pictorial gesture.
    At first reading "Absorption" is an exhibition about the materiality representation method , but after a multiple readings we can see that the exhibition explores the human being abyss.
