Sufrageria germana
Decorata in stilui renasterii germane, sufrageria a fost restaurata conform conceptiei decorative a arhitectului Gottereau. Ea reflecta gustul impus de regele Carol I in prima perioada de constructie a palatului (1893-1895).

The Main Hall
By emphasizing the modesty of the limited space affected to the main hall of the royal palace, the volume design on two storeys, as well as the abundant decoration that practically covers all the architectural components manage to create the intended effect of monumentality and sumptuousness
....
The architectural decoration, rather modest on the first storey, is expanded on the upper storey on the whole surface of the walls, as well as on the ceiling. Stucco marble pilasters frame the arcades and support the frieze

The monumental stairway of Italian Cibolino marble and stucco-marble leads to the first floor of the palace, which houses the official drawing rooms. The stained glass windows, made by a team led by master V. Broscauteanu, in an ochre dominant, contain scenes of a famous Romanian legend ("Manole, the church - builder").
A long corridor whose space is divided into equal intervals by means of columns and pilasters, crowned by composite capitals and of stucco-marble in the same style as the entrance hall, but with an ornamental expression which is more rigid - leads us to the first room of the palace: the German dining room.

The German Dining Room
Decorated in the German neo-Renaissance style, the dining room was restored according to architect Paul Gottereau's conception. It reflects the taste imposed by King Charles I in the first building period of the palace (1893-1895).
The original cased ceiling harmoniously matches the wood siding and the frames-made of partly gilded carved wood - of windows and doors, as well as the panels of papier-mache, which were remade starting from the statements of an eyewitness. The drawing was taken over as a leitmotif on the stained glass windows and on the beautiful dark red curtains.
The impressive fireplace made of reddish Muri marble (Albania) was placed instead of the old fireplace.
The table and chairs came from the royal patrimony; the royal cypher is also encrusted on the chairs
...
Among the works of art, we mention an oil painting placed above the fireplace, representing a German hunting scene, a copy by the painter Vasile Pop Negresteanu
...
Several objects of decorative art, such as the clock made in Henry Dasson's workshop (dated 1876), give a note of noble sobriety to this austere space.
